About Wildflower & Flint
I remember receiving my Easy-Bake Oven for my seventh birthday. When I was eight, my mom bought me my first cookbook, and there was a recipe in it called “Ice Cream Cookies” that I made so often I memorized it. Over the years, she continued buying me baking things, almost as if she knew someday I would be doing this.
All within a three-year time span, I became an empty nester, got divorced, left my 23-year career in the mortgage industry, moved to rural northern Minnesota, and lost my mom. At 50 years old, I was starting my life over.
During those three years, I remember thinking more than once: I am going to find a way for other people to know they’re not alone.
One day I was standing in my kitchen and said out loud to my dog, Stella, “I wish I could just make a living doing something I love, while making others happy too”
I opened my baking cabinet and saw that old cookie book from when I was a little girl.
And I knew exactly what my mom would tell me to do.
